Dr. Cliff Kemp, PhD

BIO:

My name is Cliff Kemp, and I am a professor at Indian River State College. Prior to that, I have had six years of experience supporting an enterprise-wide network that spans multiple locations for a K-12 school district.  Additionally, I have 20 years of experience as an instructor teaching industry certification, AS, and bachelor’s degree courses. During this time, I have acquired various industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, CIW, CWNP, and most recently the GCED from the Global Information Assurance Certification a partner of the SANS Institute. My concentration in computer science is Cyber Security. There are eleven
networking and cybersecurity courses I teach for IRSC and continue to keep myself up to date with industry certifications.

I have a bachelor’s degree in economics and two master’s degrees in educational technology and computer Science. I earned a Ph.D. from College of Engineering and Computer Science at FAU, researching machine learning intrusion detection techniques in cyber security to prevent DoS attacks on Networks.
